Do I need an account before purchase?+
No. Payment runs through Polar. A United Solutions account is optional and helps later with downloading again under “My account”.
What happens after payment?+
Polar confirms the payment, you land on the thank-you page and receive an email. A webhook additionally books the order in our systems. The ZIP access follows via Polar benefits or your account as soon as activation is there.
What is in the account after payment?+
The source code of Rent-It as a ZIP, including a detailed installation guide. README, architecture and license are in the repository. A PDF book is not included; that is the Java Enterprise Masterclass under IT books.
Which license do I need?+
Non-commercial: learning, portfolio, local prototype — one developer, no live business. Commercial: exactly one production SaaS or one company. Agency: white-label any number of client projects, without reselling the raw code as a template.
How do the three licenses differ in practice?+
Non-commercial may not be monetized in production. Commercial covers one live instance or one company. Agency covers client projects; selling or passing on the raw code as a product remains prohibited. Details are in the terms and conditions.
Several developers in a team — which license?+
Non-commercial is meant for learning and one developer. For a production team in a company the commercial license (one live app) is usually enough. Agencies that deploy for many clients need the agency license.
Can I upgrade the license later?+
Yes. Write to us with your Polar/invoice number and the desired tier. We will tell you the way (surcharge or new purchase) and enable the matching release.
Can I see the application beforehand?+
Yes. The live demo at rent-it.united-solutions.eu runs with sample data. Customer: [email protected]. Warehouse: [email protected]. Password rentit-dev-2026 in each case. The umbrella/platform access is not public.
Do I need the book as well?+
No. You can buy Rent-It on its own. The book “Java Enterprise Masterclass” explains the way chapter by chapter and can be booked along as an extra on the book page. The software purchase does not include a PDF book.
May I use the code in my own projects?+
That depends on the chosen license. The agency license allows client projects; the raw code may not be resold as a template. Details are in the terms and conditions and at the download.
Can I host and white-label it myself?+
Yes, within your license. You run the application on your own infrastructure and replace demo branding and sample data with your company. Managed hosting from us is not part of the software purchase.
What technology do I need to start?+
Java (Spring Boot), Node.js for the Next.js frontend, PostgreSQL and optionally Docker Compose. The detailed installation guide in the ZIP leads through the start. You do not need any cloud requirement from us.
Do I get updates and new versions?+
The purchase price includes the source code at the time of purchase. An ongoing update guarantee is not included. We share essential fixes or new packages when needed — without an obligation to continuous releases.
Is support included?+
Yes. If the platform does not start, you open a support ticket in your account and we answer there. The detailed installation guide is in the ZIP. Training and custom development are separate services on quotation.
Does the code contain the multi-tenant and umbrella platform?+
Yes, the source code contains the company/tenant model including the umbrella platform. In the public live demo the umbrella access is deliberately not enabled.
What about withdrawal for this digital product?+
It is digital content. Under the terms and conditions and the legal rules for digital goods the right of withdrawal can expire as soon as you expressly consent and the download or activation begins. Please read withdrawal and terms and conditions before purchase.
